I think the green tea flavoured one taste okay.. The white ones(red bean) taste superb. Firstly, let me talk about the skin. The moment you bite on the white wagashi, you realise that the skin is super 'Q'. It's really springy, bouncy, etc, you get what I mean. The red bean paste is nice too. It's not the v thick paste kind.. The red bean paste dissolve in your mouth. SERIOUS. They didn't add a lot of sugar yet the skin and the paste manage to go well tgt. BUT.. It's not really cheap you see.. 30 plus sing dollars for a box of 8.....

Ice cream from canele. Ate these ytd for desserts. Damn full.

Lovely ice cream!! Earl gray ice cream taste like.. Milk tea? Has a unique fragrance with it. Simple yet nice.

I don't fancy chic choc that much. I commented that it's dark choco but not very dark. My "new" gd friend laughed at how I described the ice cream. Is it that hilarious? -.- Cos it's a lil bitter but you can taste the choco milk taste as well.. I don't quite fancy choco so.. For 15 dollars, I guess this dish is not too worth it.

Finally. My passionfruit banana sorbet. Honestly.. This sorbet is nice(tho I don't quite like sorbet). So much nicer than those I had at New Zealand(not the country), Ben and Jerry's blah blah. The passion fruit taste is really strong and yet the banana taste manage to blend in. So when the ice cream touches your tongue, there is this tangy sour passion fruit taste and slowly you'll start to taste the light sweet banana taste. This sorbet is really smooth. Melts instantly in your mouth(actually.. which ice cream don't?) 8 bucks? Still can consider. (:

Deadly white rabbit sweet anybody?


Gone were the days that we love the white rabbit sweet! The ones from China? yes.. the one that looks like this?
It is found that,Melamine can be found in this sweet too. the very substance that killed many many people. The one that resulted in many children to be hospitalise? yeah! PLEASE STOP EATING IT!

AVA’s latest laboratory findings show that the “White Rabbit Creamy Candy” (大白兔奶糖) from China is also contaminated with melamine. Consumers who have bought the affected products are advised not to consume them.

The latest test results bring the total number of milk and related products from China imported into Singapore that are found to be contaminated with melamine to three. The other two affected products are "Yili Brand" Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt Flavoured Ice Confection” and “Dutch Lady” brand of strawberry flavoured milk.

All the affected products have been recalled earlier. Since 19 Sep 08, AVA has suspended the import and sale of all milk and milk products from China. These products include milk, ice-cream, yoghurt, confectionery such as chocolates, biscuits and sweets as well as any other products containing milk from China as an ingredient.

Retailers and importers have been instructed to recall these products and withhold them from sale. AVA will not hesitate to prosecute any retailer or importer who fail to remove these products from their shelves. Under the Sale of Food Act, anyone found selling unwholesome food can be fined up to $10,000 and/or sentenced to three months jail, or both.

As a precaution, consumers are also advised not to consume any milk or milk products from China.

Consumers who have any queries can call AVA’s hotline at 63257625 during office hours (8.30 am – 6.00 pm, Monday – Friday).

Gee. I'm a crybaby. Got scalded just now. Was in a coffeeshop having dinner. Or rather waiting for my dinner. Soup noodle. Went to take it when they were done. Cos there were 2 bowls, the uncle told me to use a try even though my seat is just at the side. The moment I turned around with the tray in my hand, I realised there's this boy(the shop owner's son) walking really near me. We will collide if I don't stop in time. And guess what? The bowls slipped to the side of the tray(not off), the soup spilled and there goes my right hand. First time being scalded on more than half of my hand(even tho I cook). The pain really sucks. My hand turned red shortly after being scalded. The shop owner's wife poured soy sauce on me saying it helps. Went home and applied ointment straight away. My hand's slightly better now. Oh well.. What to do.. Blame it on my ill luck.

Kept tearing though I didn't want to. It's as if my tears are outta control. Called him the moment I reached home. When I realised that he got scolded by his mum, I totally lost control of my emotions and cried even louder. Gee. I'm just like a little girl. Hai. Sorry boon. And thank you to my "new" friend for trying to help. (Not like he'll visit my blog plus he's my "new" friend cos I know him for quite a few years but only recently that we started chatting.) ((:

Are plastic bottles SAFE for usage?

Well.. Dad sent me this email.

"Did you ever drink from a plastic bottle and see a triangle symbol on the bottom with a number inside?








Do you know what the number stands for? Did you guess that it's just for recycling? Then you are WRONG!!!!!! THE NUMBER TELLS YOU THE CHEMICAL MAKE UP OF THE PLASTIC.....

1) Polyethylene terephalate (PET)
2) High density polyethylene (HDPE)
3) Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) or Plasticised polyvinyl chloride (PPVC)
4) Low density polyethylene LDPE
5) Polypropylene (PP)
6) Polystyrene (PS) or Expandable polystyrene (EPS)
7) Other, including nylon and acrylic

What you aren't told is that many of the plastics used are toxic and the chemicals used to create a plastic can leach out of the plastic and into the food / drink. Think about it, how many times have you or a friend said 'I don't like this, it taste like the plastic bottle ..... ' THAT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE TASTING THE PLASTIC The WORST ONES are Nos: 3, 6, and 7 !!! DO NOT USE THESE NUMBERS if stated at the bottom of the bottle) !!!

Reusing plastic bottles by refilling them is NOT a good idea. Damn it. Why is the comp always down? Sian. RAWR! This comp is seriously taking up A LOT of my bro as well as my time. Not on surfing it but formatting, fixing, blah blah. RAWR! Holidays just flew by. Nothing left. Great. Still tons of things undone. Why is everything passing by SO FAST?

So many "whys" and yet as usual, there's NO answers. Oh well. Back to my screwed up bio prelims paper.


Side note: The p r e l i m s paper (bio) I bought from h w a c h o n g sucks. So many missing solutions or mixed up pages. Ironically.. the h w a c h o n g paper itself is the MOST messed up. Gosh.
